we’re working with… IMOK

so one of the really great things about working at smiggle is that you always stumble across some really fun and creative people! recently we met two lovely gals that go by the name of IMOK! they’re handy with a pen and pencil, not to mention a computer and so we asked them to design one of our website background images (check out their work on our homepage). wanna know more about sandra and jen (aka IMOK)? then read on here…

how did you come to hear about and work with smiggle? jen and I have loved smiggle from the beginning. both of us grew up completely obsessed with stationary! we each had an eraser collection, many pencil cases and a love of art. basically this is an obsession we didn’t grow out of. so discovering smiggle was love at first sight! working with smiggle is a dream come true and came about after they saw an entry we did for a design comp (on facebook).  we were invited to show some sketches for the amazing new smiggle website! thankfully they liked what we did and the first background we did was “smiggle popz”.

what do you love most about your job? jen: getting to be creative 24/7, something i have dreamed about for years! Sandra: being creative with no limits, producing work that i am truly passionate about, being able to do things that i love as well as being challenged by things i could only dream of……… and to be able to say all of this is my career!

what’s your most creative hobby / what do you get up to in your spare time? jen: I am blessed that finally after years of doing many different jobs I can call myself an artist and get to paint, draw, digitally create, work on our blog and so much more, for a living. Other than that in my spare time I love to cook, take photos and go shopping:P sandra: my hobby is my job which i am very lucky for, but if i had to come up with something else i would say fashion, music and photography. in my spare time, i try and catch up with my amazing friends!

what’s your favourite smiggle product and why? jen: the black bound sketchbooks – great size, nice paper and looks great on the bookshelf. I have about 6 filled with sketches. the piggy eraser – amazing for rubbing pencil off canvas. sandra: I am going to have to agree 100% with jen on this one! both of these smiggle products have been a staple in our studio’s for a very long time 🙂

can you show us the last thing you doodled?
